職権(しょっけん)authority, commission

職権(しょっけん)は職務(しょくむ)を行(おこな)う上(うえ)で与(あた)えられている権利(けんり)だ。

Authority is the given right for the purpose of carrying out one's duties.

一定(いってい)の行為(こうい)をする権限(けんげん)を与(あた)えているものが職権(しょっけん)だ。
