不足(ふそく)を言(い)うto complain, to express one's dissatisfaction

妻(つま)は仕事(しごと)がつまらないと不足(ふそく)を言(い)っている。

My wife is complaining that her job is boring.

不足(ふそく)を言(い)ってばかりの人(ひと)とは一緒(いっしょ)にいたくない。

I don't want to be around people who are always complaining.

ちゃんと不足(ふそく)を言(い)えばこそ、仲(なか)が深(ふか)まると思(おも)っています。

I believe that by properly expressing dissatisfaction, relationships deepen.
