偏(へん)left-hand radical of a character

偏(へん)は漢字(かんじ)を構成(こうせい)する部位(ぶい)である。

The left-hand radical is a part that constitutes a kanji.

漢字(かんじ)の左側(ひだりがわ)にある部分(ぶぶん)を偏(へん)と言(い)います。
