岸(きし)bank, coast, shore

平泳(ひらおよ)ぎで岸(きし)まで泳(およ)ぐ競争(きょうそう)をする。

To compete in a breaststroke swim to shore.

船(ふね)が岸(きし)に着(つ)くまであと一(いち)時間(じかん)ほどです。
