大型(おおがた)連休(れんきゅう)long holiday (esp. Golden Week in late April and early May)

大型連休（おおがたれんきゅう）の観光地(かんこうち)は観光客(かんこうきゃく)で賑(にぎ)わっている。

Tourist spots during the long holiday are bustling with tourists.

世間(せけん)は大型連休(おおがたれんきゅう)ですが、僕(ぼく)は今日(きょう)も普通(ふつう)に仕事(しごと)です。

The world is on a long holiday, but I'm working as usual today.

大型連休（おおがたれんきゅう）はどこも人(ひと)で混(こん)んでいるので家(いえ)にいる予定(よてい)です。

Since long holidays are crowded everywhere, I plan to stay at home.

やっと大型連休(おおがたれんきゅう)が始まって嬉(うれ)しいと同時(どうじ)に、終(お)わってしまうのが悲(かな)しいです。

I'm happy that the long holiday has finally started, but at the same time, I'm sad that it will eventually end.
