太陽(たいよう)を直接(ちょくせつ)見(み)てはいけません！

You must not look directly at the sun!

今日(きょう)は曇(くも)りなのであまり太陽(たいよう)が出(で)ていません。

It is cloudy today so not much sun is out.

何故(なぜ)だか今日(きょう)はいつも以上(いじょう)に太陽(たいよう)が眩(まぶ)しく感(かん)じます。

For some reason, the sun feels even brighter than usual today.

If I remember correctly, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
