っこない and そうにない both indicate improbability, but differ in strength. っこない is categorical and emphatic, rejecting any possibility, as in こんなに弱い選手ばかりでは、勝てっこない (There’s no way we can win with such poor athletes). そうにない is more tentative, suggesting something seems unlikely based on current signs, as in 勝てそうにない (It doesn’t seem like we can win).

ことに emphasizes a strong emotional or subjective reaction to an event, while そうにない expresses objective improbability. For example, 驚いたことに、巨人が負けた 'To my surprise, the Giants lost.' expresses emotional impact, whereas 雨は降りそうにない 'It doesn't look like it will rain.' simply states an unemotional likelihood.
