「向け」の情報

「向(む)け」は他動詞(たどうし)「向(む)ける」を短(みじか)くした造語(ぞうご)だと考(かんが)えられています。造語(ぞうご)とは、特定(とくてい)の目的(もくてき)のために作(つく)られた言葉(ことば)で、もとの目的(もくてき)以外(いがい)に使(つか)われることはあまりありません。「向(む)け」は、別(べつ)の名詞(めいし)に付(つ)いて、何(なに)かが「(A) のために」「(A) を対象(たいしょう)に」「(A) に向(む)けられた」のような意味(いみ)で使(つか)われます。

「向(む)け」のあとに文(ぶん)が続(つづ)く場合(ばあい)は、格助詞(かくじょし)の「に」が付(つ)きます。そのあとに別(べつ)の名詞(めいし)が続(つづ)く場合(ばあい)は「の」が付(つ)きます。

製品(せいひん)などの場合(ばあい)、「向(む)け」は、その製品(せいひん)が「(A) を対象(たいしょう)に作(つく)られている」ことを表(あらわ)します。ただし、「(A) だけを対象(たいしょう)にしている」という意味(いみ)ではありません。

注意点(ちゅういてん)

他動詞(たどうし)から来(き)ている「向(む)け」は、「最初(さいしょ)から (A) のために作(つく)られている」ことを表(あらわ)します。それに対(たい)して、「向(む)き」は、自動詞(じどうし)「向(む)く」から来(き)ています。これは「(A) の方(ほう)を向(む)いている」や「(A) にちょうどいい」などを意味(いみ)しますが、「意図的(いとてき)にそうした」というニュアンスは含(ふく)みません。

    I would like to inform that the “Community Discussion” link on the grammar page is not redirecting to here !

    Also, I found this link to be helpful at making sure I understood the difference (although maybe minimal) between 向け and 向き. Would it be desirable to have it listed among the “Readings” ?
