裁判所(さいばんしょ)から手紙(てがみ)が届(とど)いた。

A letter arrived from the court.

私(わたし)は、裁判所(さいばんしょ)に行(い)ったことがある。

I have been to the courthouse.

父：「交通違反の通知がきてるぞ。」息子：「あ〜。裁判所(さいばんしょ)に呼び出されていたんだ。忘れてた。」

Father: "There's a notice of a traffic violation." Son: "Oh... I was summoned to court. I forgot about it."

孫(まご)：「裁判所(さいばんしょ)って誰(だれ)でも入(はい)れる？」叔父(おじ)：「うん。傍聴(ぼうちょう)できる裁判(さいばん)なら見(み)られるよ。」

Grandchild: "Can anyone enter the courthouse?" Uncle: "Yes. If it's a trial open to the public, you can watch it."

裁判所(さいばんしょ)は、原告(げんこく)の訴(うった)えを棄却(ききゃく)しました。

The court dismissed the plaintiff's claim.
