Information
Similar to standard Japanese, 関西弁(かんさいべん) regularly omits particles when they are not needed. A common example of this is 思(おも)う being used instead of と思(おも)う, to convey that the speaker ‘thinks’ something.
In the case of nouns and な-Adjectives, which would usually require だ before と思(おも)う, や will be used instead.
  • あの人(ひと)ことから明日(あした)雨(あめ)降(ふ)って釣(つ)り行(い)く思(おも)う
As for him, I think he will go fishing even if it rains tomorrow.
  • あそこお好(この)み焼(や)き屋(や)一番(いちばん)美味(おい)しい思(おも)う
I think the okonomiyaki place over there is the best.
  • 大阪人(おおさかじん)基本的(きほんてき)親切(しんせつ)思(おも)う
I think people from Osaka are generally friendly.
  • それエミコ教科書(きょうかしょ)思(おも)う
I think that is Emiko's textbook.
It should be noted, however, that this omission of と is primarily used when people are speaking quickly.
