[する]Verb + かたがた
(A) かたがた (B) is a formal expression meaning that the speaker/writer, on the opportunity of doing (A), does (B) as well, or does (B) for the purpose of (A). It has a strong nuance of respect towards the addressee, therefore it is used in formal letters to superiors, clients, and such. It often follows nouns like お礼、挨拶、報告、お見舞い. In (B), verbs of movement like 訪問する、伺う are common.
