にしてもEven though, Even if, Even when, Also

Both ～と言っても and にしても can be translated as 'even though' or 'even if', but they differ in nuance. ～と言っても is used to downplay or soften expectations, e.g. 運動と言ってもウォーキング程度です ('Even though I say exercise, it's just walking'), while にしても has the nuance of 'even considering (A), (B)' or 'no matter if (A), (B)', e.g. 忙しいにしても連絡してほしい ('Even if they're busy, I'd at least like to be contacted').

Both どんなに〜ても and にしても introduce conditions contrary to results, but with different focuses. どんなに〜ても emphasizes an unchanging outcome despite extreme conditions, e.g. どんなに高くても買います ('I'll buy it no matter how expensive it is'), while にしても is used more flexibly to acknowledge a point while suggesting a contrast or reservation, e.g. 行くにしても、今日は無理だ ('Even if I go, today's not possible').

にしても and にしろ～にしろ are similar in that both express 'whether', but にしても tends to focus on a single case and convey contrast or concession, e.g. 遅れるにしても連絡はしてほしい ('Even if you're late, I want you to contact me'). にしろ～にしろ pairs two options and stresses that the result remains the same, e.g. 勝つにしろ負けるにしろ ('Whether we win or lose').

にしても and たとえ〜ても both mean 'even if', but にしても leans toward conditions that are reasonably likely, e.g. 難しいにしてもやってみたほうがいい ('Even if it's difficult, you should give it a try'). たとえ〜ても is far more hypothetical, e.g. たとえ失敗してもあきらめない ('Even if I fail, I won't give up').

にしても and としても both mean 'even if', but にしても can introduce a judgment that doesn't directly follow from the condition, e.g. 行くにしても不安だ ('Even if I go, I'm uneasy'). としても implies that the result stems logically from the assumption, e.g. 行くとしても一度だけだ ('Even if I go, it'll be only once').

にしても and ながらも both express contrast. にしても introduces something counter to the condition, e.g. 難しいにしてもやってみたほうがいい ('Even if it's hard, you should try doing it'). ながらも shows two opposing facts that coexist, e.g. 忙しいながらも楽しんでいる ('I'm busy, but still enjoying it').

にしても and にせよ・にしろ both mean 'even if' or 'regardless of', but にせよ・にしろ are stronger and more formal, often used in instruction or insistence, e.g. 行くにせよ行かないにせよ連絡してほしい ('Whether you go or not, I want you to let me know'). にしても is softer and more reflective, e.g. どこに行くにしても携帯は持っていったほうがいい ('Regardless of where you go, you should bring your cell phone').

にしても and たって are related in that たって is a more casual form of ても, meaning 'even if'. にしても could be rephrased as にしたって, which sounds more informal and emotional. For example, どこに行くにしても ('No matter where you go') can also be expressed as どこ行くにしたって.

にしても and とも both express 'even if', but differ in formality and structure. にしても follows the plain, non-past form and is more common in daily language, e.g. どこに行くにしても ('No matter where you go'). とも follows the volitional form and is more formal and emphatic, often found in set expressions like 何があろうとも ('No matter what happens').

Both にしても and のに express contrast, but with different nuances. のに is a general contrastive expression, like 'although.' にしても often presents a hypothetical or assumed condition, followed by an unexpected result. Like other ～ても forms, it's commonly used with Wh-words, e.g. どこに行くにしても 'no matter where you go'.

何しろ and にしても are similar in that both have a general sense of 'no matter' or 'regardless', they are used quite differently. 何しろ comes at the beginning of a sentence to express 'after all, (A)', while にしても follows a noun or phrase to specifically state 'even if (A), still (B)'.

にしても and てでも both express determination in hypothetical or extreme situations. にしても presents a condition with contrast or concession, e.g. 行くにしても気が進まない ('Even if I go, I don't feel like it'). てでも emphasizes doing something even if it requires an extreme measure, e.g. 会うためなら借金してでも行く ('I'd even go into debt just to see them').

Both forms can mean 'even if' or 'even though,' but differ in nuance. ても is more versatile and often appears in expressions like てもいい 'it's okay to (A)' for asking or giving permission. にしても carries a stronger hypothetical tone, like 'Even supposing that...' which ても alone doesn't necessarily convey. Both are used with question words, e.g. どこに行っても and どこに行くにしても 'no matter where you go', with the latter sounding more hypothetical.

かどうか expresses binary uncertainty, like 'whether or not', as in 行くかどうか分からない ('I don't know whether or not they'll go.'). にしても adds a tone of concession or contrast, like 'even if'. For example, どこに行くにしても 'no matter where (you) go'. The former asks a yes/no-type question, the latter implies acceptance of a situation.
